He's looked like shite, but still surprising. I see our DL struggling as usual this year.

Wut? I agree that Remi looked like shite, but our d-line has looked good this pre-season. The only area of the defense that's been struggling is the linebackers, and that's been more due to injury.

Nevermind, he's still on the team.

How Canfield continues to make this roster is amazing to me. He is hot garbage.

Jordan has been the only starter I have been impressed with. We are still giving up long gains on first down with the starters in. Hicks looks like he could be a steal equivalent to Graham, but he has still not seen regular season action against veteran Olines. Galette and Wilson have looked good as well, but that has been mostly against second teams as well. Hopefully I am being too critical about preseason and they take off early.

All the starting d-line has looked good imo, but the outside linebacker play has been weak at times and it's led to big runs.

You are being too critical. Gallette, Wilson, Jordan, Hicks, all have impressed me as far as actually getting pressure. The concern is the linebackers and the health issues/keeping these guys healthy. It'll take a little time, but I assure you the defense will improve over last years squad.

Kinda sad it didn't work out with Clark. It could've been a really cool story had he made the team.

Has not watched much of the games. Besides Jax, they have been getting consistent pressure. Such a welcome sight

I usually am with our DL. I guess hoping for NY Giants type production in year 1 wasn't too realistic

I can definitely agree there. Once Hawthorne and Lofton are back to 100%, we should look a lot better. But we will likely still have Shanle on the field.

They looked absolutely terrible. No way of defending the way they played. I have seen pressure come late, and it is indeed a welcome sight. I just hope it carries over to the regular season. What worries me as always is giving up 7 or 8 yrd runs on 1st down like Foster and Tate were reeling off during the 1st 2 drives. But again Lofton and Hawthorne should be back to fill those giant holes week 1.

I think you saw the effect of Lofton being out there. But once he and Hawthorne and Greet are back (and hell maybe even Vilma depending on these rulings), I think we will see a pretty stout defense
