Which WR gets less touches now that Magee is getting reps?

I would assume Russell Shepard would be the obvious answer bc he's most likely our slot WR at this point. I can see Magee being used as a blocker a lot as well for running plays due to his bulk.

well if Magee aint worth a damn then he will get less touches

LSU has a long history of turning RBs into recievers. Magee would be perfect for the bubble screen. Why they don't run this is beyond me. Its a easy throw and if you make one man miss it can lead to big yards.

We have run this, probably too much even, it's one of about 3 pass plays Jordan Jefferson was allowed to use.

I can remember when everyone was complaining that we run the bubble screen way too much.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Problem was, when we were running it, we weren't throwing the ball 5 yards past the line of scrimmage either. Teams would just load the box, press the receivers and never respected our deep ball, because we didn't have one.
If Mett can stretch our passing game vertically on a consistent basis, then I could see the bubble screen being very effective mid to late season.

I'm betting they will all get a little less if he gets reps. When he comes in will OBJ come out? No probably not, but he may not get the same number of touches as he would if Magee wasn't in.
If a team has 4 WR and then adds one it only stands to reason that the other 4 would each lose touches.

They all will get a good amount of touches. We have a qb that can check down and spread the ball around instead of focusing on one target.

I really am not a big fan of the bubble screen, but I would like to see us run more jet sweeps with RS, as well as Magee. RS was money with the a few years ago, but I don't really recall us running it that much last year?

we ran it 15 times on 1/9
