Has anyone been watching the games of our opponents, or following the medial regarding them?

I have casually been watching some of their games, and reading news snippets. But mainly for the opponents of our first few games.

Washington looks like a pretty good running offense, but their defense is looking very poor. They aren't missing tackles, but even worse allowing receivers to run wide open. An accurate QB just simply needs to deliver the ball and chunks of yards are available.

Green Bay has been snakebit with the injury bug this preseason.

Kansas City looked improved in their first game from last season, since they are returning many key players from injury. But Bradford is looking pretty darn good throwing on them, and the TE is doing well on their LB's.

San Diego didn't look all that great last week, I plan on watching their 2nd game which is played later tonight. Their 2nd team looked pretty good though.

Carolina looks better than last season to be honest. Their offense is still pretty good, better than average. And their defense is returning a bunch of players who were often injured or missing games last season. They are always a tough game for us regardless.

Tampa looks pretty crappy, not really anything else.

Atlanta still looks solid, but their O-line looks pretty pedestrian. Big weak link of their team.

I haven't really watched or followed the media enough of Denver or Philadelphia enough to tell.

I know it's not an early game, but San Fran still looks great running the ball, and even better defending the run. But opposing offenses look good/decent passing against them, and their O-line is getting Smith killed. The last part I've only noticed from just their 2nd game, and granted it is against a great Texans defense, but Smith has been sacked 3 times and hit another 2 in less than one half of play.

I've been watching Green Bay. Their starting defense is going to be improved at a similar level as ours.

They are easily the best team in the league on paper and probably in reality. The good news is the NFC North seems fairly tough (although the Lions seem like exactly the type of team that GB beats relatively easily) and the Packers play the Saints and 49ers OOC, and are at Houston and at the Giants as well.

Yeah, they were a great defense just 2 season's ago, and drafted 6 or 7 defensive players this past draft.

Thanks for that heads up, I really haven't been able to watch them.

I would love if they dropped 2 divisional games. The Bears will most likely be a good bit better this season, when Cutler was healthy they were a playoff level team. Also, I am thankful we aren't playing the Texans. They look very good. I think the Packers pass all over the Giants though, but who knows.

I honestly think that last year we were better suited to beat green bay AT green bay. I would never give up home field in the playoffs but I actually think they're just as suited if not more so than we are on turf. I'd like our chances in bad weather against them.

Shame we aren't playing the Cowboys this year. They look like hot garbage.

we play them in Dallas this year. haven't had much trouble winning there recently though or really in a while.

but yeah, their O-line may get Romo killed before its all over with. Also looks like their run game is not that good so far.

edited: have not lost in Dallas since 1991.

their O-line wasn't that good at pass protection last year. they ran the ball pretty well though. They did a great job of protecting the ball on offense and taking it away on defense. If they can somehow maintain that consistency, I'll be fricking impressed. But I don't think they will. Their defense may continue that kind of play but I see a let down for their offense in the turnover dept.
