I'm hoping to leave this out as a decorative piece. I do not know if my wife will allow it, though.....

Well damn. That linked ruined a couple of theories I hoped might be true. Sucks to have some answers to questions that I was hoping would be revealed in the books to come.

Like what?

Also I really hope we get some kind of visual representation of the tales of Dunk and Egg.

I would venture to say 100% yes.

AWOIAF slight spoilers!

So is anyone reevaluating that Cersei and Jaime may be Aerys children after the Aerys chapter in AWOIAF? Really seems some suspicious shite was going on between him and Joanna shortly before their birth.

The World of Ice and Fire actually had a little snippet regarding this.

quote:

The scurrilous rumor that Joanna Lannister gave up her maidenhead to Prince Aerys the night of his father's coronation and enjoyed a brief reign as his paramour after he ascended the Iron Throne can be safely discounted. As Pycelle insists in his letters, Tywin Lannister would scarce have taken his cousin to wife that had been true, "for he was ever a proud man and not one accustomed to feasting upon another man's leavings". It has been reliably reported, however, that King Aerys took unwonted liberties with Lady Joanna's person during her bedding ceremony to Tywin's displeasure. Not long thereafter, Queen Rhaella dismissed Joanna Lannister from her service. No reason for this was ever given, but Lady Joanna departed at once for Casterly Rock and seldom visited King's Landing thereafter.

Yeah. I wouldn't trust what Pycelle says.

I know that everyone hates the numerous fake Targaryen theories, but I have to say I do like the idea of the twins being Aerys bastards. It would be the final and ultimate kick in the balls to Tywin's legacy, confirm his blindness to his children, be karmatic that his only true born child is the one he treated like dogshit, put a weird parallel between Jaime and Tyrion murdering their own fathers, Jaime actually going through with Aerys final order, and finally the rightful heir to Caterly Rock is the daughter of a whore.. The irony is delicious.

If it's Tyrion though, I'll turn over my table while reading the book.
