Rhaegar was obsessed with prophecies, that's for sure. But the rebellion started because Aerys burned Rickard & Brandon. If the Mad King were sane they could've settled the matter of Lyanna & Rhaegar. However I think she left with him willingly and loved him. She had no love for Robert and knew he was a manwhore.
Agreed!

According to GRRM he's going to fill in the blanks of Robert's Rebellion in the last 2 books. So we'll have to wait (ugh) to see what actually happened.
Too much waiting (ugh)
Also it is generally believed that Dany is at least ~7 months younger than Jon since it was said she was born 9 moons after her mother arrived at Dragonstone. This also operates on the assumption that Ned was making with all proper haste to find Lyanna post-KL and SE.

I would say Dany is anywhere from 7 months-12 months younger than Jon. I think Jon and Robb were born within 2 months of each other, Robb slightly older.

I'm apparently a cross between Kal Drogo and Jamie Lannister.....
Just saying.
Just saying.

And I'm Robb and Ned Stark. Honorable man I am. And in the books dead.

So many choices. No Jon Snow lookalikes?

I'm Robert Baratheon with Ned Stark's ridiculous notion of honor, justice, etc.
I've come to find out that there's no place for these things in this world anymore.

Robert meets Ned? Is such a thing possible?

It was Rhaegar who won that tourney in the end and named Lyanna the queen of love and beauty...but that's a sadder story.

Dany can be burned. In the last chapter of ADWD she refers to her healing burns on her arms. Her hair was also on fire.
However, she also appears to be somewhat immune to illness.

Then what was happening to her on her last chapter?

Viserys told her that Targaryens don't get sick like other people, but he's an idiot. Didn't one of the Dunk and Egg tales mention that some of the Targaryens die during the spring sickness thing?

Yes they did.

In case anyone was wondering what killed Balon Greyjoy, consider the following passage from ASoS:
quote:
I dreamt of a man without a face, waiting on a bridge that swayed and swung. On his shoulder perched a drowned crow with seaweed hanging from his wings.

I think each Targaryen has a "unique strength(s)" and Dany being highly tolerant of flame/fire is one of hers. Some Targaryens have burned and some haven't. Some have gotten sick and some haven't. This is why I don't buy the train of thought that Jon can't be a Targaryen because his hand burned.

Many think it is either her period or a possibly miscarriage.
Posted on 2/12/14 at 4:42 pm to SoGaFan
Could either be her period, a miscarriage, or the Pale Mare/bloody flux. I'm inclined to think it's her period, but I thought she was infertile after Mirri Maz Duur's blood magic and Rhaego??? She could still get her period and still be infertile but I don't think she's had one since the first book right?
Posted on 2/12/14 at 4:53 pm to ladytiger118
Well, when her "womb quickens" was one of the terms of Mirri Mas Durr's curse, correct?
Posted on 2/12/14 at 5:28 pm to Sid in Lakeshore
Yeah, it was. But honestly I really hate Dany and her story at this point. It's all GRRM's fault.

People say that "the Sun" rising in the west and falling in the East is Quentyn and the "mountains blowing in the win" were the pyramids that were set on fire by the dragons and blowing ash.
ANd "Drogo" ( but as the dragon Drogon) does return to her.
