I'm guessing they'll end the season with Davos leaving Eastwatch, then in S5 show his ADWD storyline in the Sisters and White Harbor. I don't think Manderly will appear until next season.
Also, what's the deal with the Iron Islands story and Asha's story? Are they totally nixing the Kingsmoot?

They'll prob have Asha get near the Dreadfort only to be captured by Stannis.

Agreed. Plus I'm really curious to see how Braavos is going to look like, and if they're going to add another country to the list to film Braavos outside of Northern Ireland, Iceland, Croatia, & Morocco.
In my mind, I picture Braavos as Venice or Amsterdam

Sounds about how I pictured it . And I'm wondering how they're going to do Arya's scenes in S5? Will other actresses have to come in to do her disguises? Or just put Maisie Williams in a ton of makeup/prosthetics?

I have no doubt Maisie will rise to the challenge.

Does anyone besides me think that GRRM and D&D may have told Sean Bean the story of what transpired at the Tower of Joy and Jon's true parentage?
I thought I read somewhere in this thread that Sean Bean was told who Jon Snow's mother was, right before they flimed the scene where Jon leaves to go to the Wall.

This would require some digging.

GRRM has basically confirmed it. Here's a quote by him, and look how specific it is:
quote:
5. Since all of their mothers died, who gave Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister their names?
Mothers can name a child before birth, or during, or after, even while they are dying. Dany was most like named by her mother, Tyrion by his father, Jon by Ned.
It also confirms that Tyrion is indeed Tywin's son, and implies that Ned is not Jon's true father.

I remember reading that too. It would explain how Ned was so emotional and looked like he was going to cry when Jon asked him that. That's one of the things that sold me on his mother being Lyanna.
And a bit off topic from that, but I'm in love with this meme (picture from the SAG Awards last night) :

Yea the show confuses me with Asha, the Iron Islands and Theon's stories.
Last we seen Asha receive Theon's cock in a box and take off in a ship right?
I don't remember that happening in the books. I don't recall Ramsey cutting off Theon's junk in the books either. Or when on the show Ramsey tricked him into thinking he was gonna save him only to bring him back to his dungeon. Been a while since I read those books though. Maybe I missed it

Asha rescuing Theon I think is the biggest departure from the books yet.

Theon getting his dick chopped off was alluded to in the books, and Martin basically confirmed it in S3E7 (the S3 episode he wrote).

Asha isn't terribly necessary to the Kingsmoot. But how they introduce the other charcters there will be more tough. Unless they just straight up say that as the eldest brother to Balon, Euron gets it. That would eliminate the need for Aerion.

It doesn't say it outright but I remember it happening.
Sort of like Frey pie.

Do you remember Jon's dream about the Winterfell Crypts? Could they have foreshadowed his death at the NW and that the Kings of Winter were telling him he didn't belong there yet?
Posted on 1/19/14 at 9:49 pm to Analyze That
I definitely believe Jon will go down into the Winterfell crypts and find some truth(s) about his parentage in there. Perhaps Bran will lead him there? And maybe he'll find secrets revealing his parentage in Lyanna's tomb. I always thought the "you don't belong here" line cemented that he didn't belong there because he's Targaryen and the heir to the Throne.

True, but the Stark children were half Tully as well and went down there.
Posted on 1/19/14 at 10:16 pm to Analyze That
But they're technically Stark in name. All of them are half Stark. Ned's kids are half Stark, half Tully, while Jon is half Stark, half Targaryen. Hence why they all have direwolves; Jon is still a Stark, except on his matrilineal side rather than his paternal side. And all of them are wargs; even Sansa. Robb was slowly starting to show the ability, but got killed; Jon is definitely warging; Arya is warging; Bran is the most experienced out of all of them; and Rickon has definitely warged. It can be argued that Sansa, to an extent, has warged before too and may even warg a falcon while in the Vale (Major Crackpot theory right here: that she was able to get into Sandor's head during Blackwater, pictured him kissing her, and therefore has the false memory of the UnKiss from her 'warg' abilities).

Intriguing...
Also I have a theory from the Princess and the Queen, but it does have some spoilers to it, but not too much
Towards the end of TPaTQ, Sunfyre, Prince Aegon's dragon, flies to Dragonstone where Prince Aegon has gone, unbeknowst to almost everyone. The maester writing the history speculates that, while no one truly understands how the bond between rider and dragon works, perhaps Sunfyre sensed Prince Aegon's need...anyway, in the context of R+L=J, that sentence stood out for me in the text (one thing is that "need" is actually italicized)...I'm always intrigued by little hints dropped places, but I wondered if we'd see a dragon just show up when Jon truly needs one, sort of Sword of Gryffindor style, and in this case the Dragon would be Rhaegal. There cannot be a more fitting dragon for him to ride than the one named for his father
