I'm pretty sure Bran and Rickon will, and Jon if he counts. Arya is 50/50 for me. She's not going to have a happy ending regardless though.

I agree with you about Arya. She's very dark and has no innocence left about her.

King and Queen: Jon and Daenerys Targaryen

If Sansa survives, I think she'll get the happy ending she's wanted, so Sansa has more of a chance of being happy in the end. I go between the two on who's more likely to die. Tomorrow I may tell you one thing, but next week another.

I definitely think GRRM will let the series have a bittersweet ending. Some characters will die tragically, other characters will survive and will lead either unhappy or happy lives. I certainly think some will have a happy ending...I don't see GRRM writing "The Others took over the world everyone is dead the end". ASIOAF is different from 'Good vs. Evil Lord of the Rings fantasy', but I definitely think he'll let at least a couple characters have the happy ending they deserve.

Any theories on why Tommen and Myrcella are good kids but Joffrey is such a piece of shite?

He's older and therefore more spoiled. That and his parents were younger at the time so he got away with alot more....and also from the time he was born he was heir to all of Westeos. Pretty significant differences.

I think people forget that Sansa is a whiny teenage girl still trying to figure things out. I was one at point in time too .
I think she's going to do something that is going to really speed up the growth of her character and surprise us in book 6.
