The coaches seldom, if ever, do their own voting.
It's a sham. What kind of legitimate poll mandates that it's pollsters vote for one particular entity?

I'll make one concession: the coaches poll is an integral part of the BCS system, which is what we must endure until 2014 when (thank frick) playoffs are implemented.
The BCS is a system only a fricktard could love.

I was under the impression that the four teams would be chosen by a selection committee.
One thing is for certain, the BCS will no longer be a component of a college football playoff, because the BCS is defunct as of the 2014 college football season. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
