Im gonna be honest, im getting scared. for the last few yrs, we been shutting down the passing game, now the only thing thats in my mind is that no matter who we play, they going to be picking on our corners. After all this bragging i been doing to my friends...all for nothin. but i hope not

still have Simon and solid safeties. hopefully the freshmen pick it up. the DL should help take some pressure off.

We have:

Micah Eugene
Jalen Collins
Dwayne Thomas
Jalen Mills

One or a couple of them should solidify a spot. It's good that we play some weaker teams in the first part of the season so they can get acclimated to a starting role before we start the tougher SEC slate

We've got the best pass-rushing DE tandem in the country, solid DT's, and what looks to be a lightning-fast and improved LB corps. We've also got Reid, Loston, Simon, and 4 very talented underclassmen who have 6 games to get acclimated b/f we play a passing game with a pulse.

We'll be just fine.

Talent has never been an issue for the secondary. Instead, it's the lack of SEC game experience that gets me really concerned. When was the last time that we had a red-shirt freshman who had never played a down in real college game before to start at CB position in week 1, and his first backup was a true freshman who had yet to play a snap either? His fear or concern is legit. Hopefully, just hopefully the young folks will be able to pick up what's left off by the veterans quickly, otherwise we're goona be well in trouble when facing SEC offense.

DE's will mask our inexperience for the first month. Talent will take over after that. Just can't afford many injuries. Wish Jenkins, Vinson, and Gibson hadn't transfered. oh well. We'll be aight.

No... It just means we don't know what 4 of them are capable of. But Chavis does... and he doesn't seem too worried.

How could you tell? You were with him in the coaching room today?

Feel really bad for Les. It's a hard day for him knowing that he would love to have himself more of Honey Badger.

No, I wasn't hanging with Chavis today. But we've all heard the reports that Collins and Eugene are flat out studs, If you want to worry about having one freshman starting on our D... well, you go for it. The only thing to really worry about is depth. As long as we don't have injuries in the DB corps I think we'll be fine.

Some of you guys are being over optimistic. If our goal is just to have a solid season, then I say we are totally fine. But if you're aiming to claim the national title this year, then you should be prepared for the worst scenarios as we will need to beat down every opponent, and to pull off some of those games will require a major contribution from the young CBs. Their lack of experience just serves as a time bomb.
