Mine are too young, but I know there are a lot of kids that have looked up to TM. I heard he got a lot of mail/cards from kids and his persona was bigger than any recent LSU player I can remember.

Just curious how the average kid took the news.

Eric Reid, Big Sam and Mingo should be the ones the kids look up to. They aren't as flashy but they epitomize hard work and what being a Tiger should look like.

I told my 7-month old son. He just smiled and went dookie in his diaper, so I guess he is okay with it.

My eight year was dissapointed and asked a lot of questions.I just told him that no matter how good you are, you still have to follow the rules.

My oldest (13 yrs) was diappointed but very adament about following rules...which seems right. He's the oldest and all about the rules. When we said prayers he prayed for TM and asked that God grant him direction. Made me proud.

We forgot to tell the 10 yr old and when we casually mentioned it a few minutes ago, he was like "What are y'all talking about? Honey Badger doesn't play for LSU anymore?"

It was a sad moment.

My son is 10, plays football, and is a football/LSU fanatic. TM7 was definitely one of his favorite players on the team. His reaction was disappointment mainly and a little confusion. He had heard the news at school and couldn't fathom that a star football player might do drugs. I did the best I could explaining, but how do you explain that to a 10yr old kid

My 3 year old was pretty upset actually and also looked forward to meeting him tomorrow. When I got home from work he told me "the honey badger was not a good listener and will not play for LSU Tigers any more."

He's right unfortunately.

Same way I did, they could care less...LSU is bigger than a 5'8" 170 lb New Orleans DB!
