I know we're not, being a bit facetious. But I am suspicious of Bama. Ever hear of a player getting kicked off? No way. Cause they're all Angels right? Cause Saban's got a iron clad control off all his players, just like his daughter. I say the Tuscaloosa authorities and boosters got this handled.

What does his daughter do?

Is she a dirty little slapper?

What is funny is that more than a few of the 'Bama posters have shown a lot of respect for Miles in the way he handled this situation. I guess they recognize that karma can be a bitch.

Bama players don't even get called for holding.

LSU does seem a bit self righteous when it comes to these drug tests. Really, why keep testing your star player for pot? Let it go. Esp before when the lsu testing went beyond NCAA rules. Just dumb.

Funny how the espn the mag article quoted The Hobbit as saying marijuana violations should be handled by the institution. Hell, @ FSU, even the 3rd offense is coach's disciplinary discretion. The 2 most stringent athl depts in the sec are UGA & UK. Kicked off after 2nd offense. Some schools just don't care. Neither do some of the "win at all cost" coaches (urban Meyer- janoris Jenkins)

I agree. It's pretty stupid. Why not test everyone on scholly or grants? Still, he knew the rules, but 3 dirty weed test over a college career is nothing. I stay stoned at lsu

Seriously? Ever heard of Isaiah Crowell?

Or Caleb King, or Washaun Ealey, etc. etc. etc.

Actually, No. Is that a bad thing? Googled Honey Badger today? Were any of the players you mention remotely given the news coverage of the players you name?

Crowell was dismissed by the Bulldogs this past Friday, just 13 hours after he was pulled over and arrested at a road block. He was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor after a 9-mm Luger handgun with a scratched-off serial number was found underneath the driver’s seat of the 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis he was driving. Crowell this week retained the services of high-profile Atlanta criminal defense lawyer Steve Sadow to represent him on those charges.

Dude, seems a bit more serious than smoking some weed, dontcha think?

I said earlier. CUM would have suspended him for North Texas and Towson and he'd have been back for SEC play. See Marcus Thomas.

I think Miles and staff go way overboard with discipline like this. Saban may kick players off the team to make room for incoming recruits, but very doubtfull he would kick someone off the team that contributes, much less a star player.

There's a school in Athens, GA that kicks guys off.

Besides, WTF would you want Miles to do...he had no choice.

Don't blame the school, blame the idiot that fricked his golden goose straight in the arse.

Anybody know of a more high profile player than Honey Badger getting kicked off a team for a comparative (seemingly minor) offense, please let me know. I think we're setting a precedence in this regard. Not saying Miles/ LSU didn't do the right thing. Just wonder if there is a similar example.
