Has anyone been to one? How expensive is it? Can you go in the middle of the day and actually use it as a driving range? Or is it just a Dave and Busters with golf only?

Yes, you can use top golf as a real driving range, however it is more expensive than your local range. It is a fun thing to do, but I compare it to something like bowling, it is fun to sit around eating and drinking while waiting for your turn. It is a good after work happy hour, or a fun date place. However, you will not see any professionals there honestly working on their game.

I live in the Dallas area, and go maybe once every few months.

Agree with this. I go to the one in Dallas with friends as well. Its definitely fun to get drinks and food and gamble with friends. Gets packed quick so either get there early or just be ready to wait.

I think everytime I go I end up spending like $40 which includes like 3 games, beers, food.

Is it only games or can you just get a bucket of balls?

Like others have said, it gets crowded and is more expensive than a normal range. It's all mats so you can't hit off real grass. Not sure I'd ever want to use it for real practice but it's fun with a group since there is a bar and restaurant on site and they have waitresses

I have never been but have heard that the range is there more for entertainment purposes. Go to your local range if you want practice... Go here if you want to have a good time with friends.

I've been several times. I go to drink and play the fun golf games available. You can certainly hone your skills, but you'll be so distracted by the open bar and hot arse walking around, that it will turn out to be an expensive day/night out at the bar.

I know the Greek System at SMU goes on several date parties there.

My experience in Dallas has been a positive one with Top Golf. I'm guessing the rumor of it coming to the Woodlands is true?

It is currently being built just east of Katy. I think hwy 6 and I-10.

Good spot for it. alot of Oil and Gas companies HQ are near there and they will get alot of corporate happy hours scheduled.

Oh joy... I work for an O&G company on the Beltway between I-10 and 290.

Probably should an extra line in the budget labeled "Top Golf"
