According to ESPN:

LINK

Sorry if Germans, I looked and didn't see a thread title on this. Figured this would be good news to spread. Or at least possible good news depending on the ruling.

Can't see the video bc I'm at work, but the title talks about Kenny Britt lashing out. Wrong video link perhaps?

At this time, legal "experts" think the "Liberal judge in New Orleans" will rule in favor of the players tomorrow suspending the players suspension while the case makes it thought he legal process.

Yes it was, sorry about that. It should be fixed now. It was basically discussing the fact that Vilma and the NFL didn't agree on a settlement and that the judge could have a ruling on it as soon as tomorrow. Also, that most people in the law circles believe that the judge will rule in favor of the players.

Man my computer is slow! Thank you for explaining it for him GumboPot. You know the most interesting thing about this is that the coaches might follow suit. But my biggest fear is that if coach Sean gets to come back this year but gets booted out again next year if the NFL actually wins the battle at the end.

I've never thought Ginger Berrigan was THAT liberal, personally. However, I could see her ruling in favor...the NFLPA's brief, to me, was extremely convincing.

from what lester munsberg or whatever said, NFL probably would be able to have it overturned in the fifth district court probably pretty quickly.

It would seem like they would have a hard time making that go quickly.

Btw, I don't think they coaches get any reduction in their suspensions.

the only way I see the coaches getting a reduction is if something comes out that proves the Commish made up any part of the accusations.

If that happens, I could see all of the suspensions getting reduced. Even suspensions that have nothing to do with New Orleans and/or Bounty Gate.

So what's the best case scenario? If we win this first ruling would it prove that it wasn't as bad as the NFL/ESPN made it out to be? Will we finally see the evidence if there is any?

Whoever prevails Friday, the case can and likely will go forward to a full trial on the issue of the injunction, giving Vilma discovery power, depositions, subpoens, request for documents, admissions, etc. We should get to see the evidence.

This is not over Friday by any means, assuming Vilma is serious.

THIS is the whole reason for the suit. Goddell and the NFL want NO PART OF THIS. If Vilma gets past this initial stage, you can look for the NFL to settle.

I agree. He is turrible. Passive agressively stirring up shite. "Well let's just say, hypothetically, that even though there hasn't been evidence, that there really is and vilma actually murdered babies and raped women for money from Sean Payton who got the money by getting all the local daycare children addicted to crack....." those are the leaps he makes when talking about issues like this...

But seriously, they spoke about how if the NFL does take it to the 5th circuit, that per the CBA agreement, the NFL MUST relase the evidence.

If someone saw vilma put down the money.. its over with... so why again is the NFL at all cost trying to avoid this... yeah, they really worried about covering the rat... or maybe just maybe the credibility and reliability of the rat is a ginormous fricking issue.

Exactly. I think the NFL got sold a story and they went hunting for evidence.

Totally agree. Been saying it from day one, Goodell thought he could pull this off on a whim without being fought on it tooth and nail. Boy was he wrong. He took a risk and it may not only turn out to blow up in his face, but decimate his career.

I've said this a bunch. If he would have just gone after the coaches and went easy on the players this would have all gone away quietly! He couldve justifued this by saying the players were just following bad orders.

He got greedy or felt like he was invincible!

This! I am glad Vilma has the "chest" to go after him.

Also on Chads comment, my wife even wonders why he is on the show. And she doesn't even have a clue about football. I think espn thinks that having an ex-pro football player and a weak miserable man on the show that will help cover the full spectrum of the audience. I am glad I quit watching the show so my son can watch spongebob in the mornings. Besides, if I watch sports in the morning, I watch Holly Sonders on the Golf Channel.
