Need recommendations for my cousin who is from north Carolina. She is open to try cajun/creole food for the first time but is just looking for casual places that won't break the bank to eat at

Tell her to eat at Coop's on Decatur.

Also tell her that when you're coming to one of the best, most unique culinary cities in the country, you're not "open" to it...you should feel awesome about it, and look forward to it.

I would definitely hit up Butcher in the warehouse district. I don't really know if I would call it "louisiana fare" but it's delicious sandwiches for lunch. Cubana is unreal.

Antoines does a $20.12 three course lunch. With $0.25 martinis. That's a winner

I'd stick with the italicized and bold. But that's me.
