Listenimg to him speak now is just awesome. This guy knows football, we are very lucky to have him. He is smarter than he lets on. Our program will be good even after he is gone with the culture he has created. And if you listen he akways mentions getting a degree and competing in the classroom. Not enough ciaches are like that.

When he's in his element, he really is a smart guy and easy to talk to. He just tries to say too much in front of cameras or maybe gets just a little nervous.
Dude is hilarious in front of the cameras though

Agree, He just seems as relaxed as I've ever seen him, for whatever reason...

I agree, I have always loved the guy. None of us have any idea what it would be like to coach at one of these major universities. If you were named head coach tomorrow at LSU, BAMA or any other SEC school it would be overwhelming i'm sure.

The demands on their time are unreal.

I don't get what's so funny and why people are laughing at this. I agree with you, by the way.

Could learn a lot from Chavis, see my post.

YEAH we need more screaming and yelling and acting like a two year old with diaper rash. UUURRRRRGGGGHHHHHH
That's what real coaches do right?

To the two guys that laughed...
What did you find funny about the original post?

you have learned his dialect. He has a simplicity of description that escapes the ordinary. I appreciate it.
He's not a guy who practices some rat-tat-a-tat like Dooley and to some extent Saban. They learn patters that they roll out when the occasion demands. Les actually answers the questions.

Football is the worst. I could see doing basketball.
Football, you have so many players, so many assistants. whopping scope of responsibility, right there, not even counting the TV and radio interviews, and the never ending recruiting.

Exactly. Appeasing the fricking media is probably the last thing Miles cares about.
If some people want to criticize the manner in which he answers reporters' questions, or the original way he sometimes chooses his words, then let them.
But the joke is on them. Do they """""""""""""""REALLY""""""""""""""" think Miles speaks to his team and coaches on the sidelines, in practice, in games, and in the locker room the SAME way he speaks to the stupid-arse media ????
He has been just as eloquent, if not more than any LSU coach has been at many speaking engagements like the annual TigerTour Banquets at the Hilton Riverside.
Something the national and regional media """""""STILL""""""" fricking do is talk about his "clock management" skills. That was 2 games: Tennessee in 2010 and Ole Miss in 2009,
and both of those were not his fault.
I don't recall any "clock management" problems last year! 500-143 and blowing everybody away will do that.
Meanwhile, the media never seems to bring up Saban's "clock management" skills: UAB 2000, Ole Miss 2001, Arkansas 2002, Iowa 2004 !!!

Les Miles is no dummy. He never has been. He just doesn't say anything that conveys any information that he doesn't want you to know.
