Bleacher Report not impressed with TM7

Don’t know if this was addressed before, but this is type of bullshite i guess people make up in their sleep. Read from Dandy Don that TM7 lead the defense in tackles last year? What part of leading the best defense in tackles doesn’t impress this guy. And sure he’s nothing special, if you can’t even mention the fricking Houdini forced fumbles and TDs? And those punt returns, I guess they don’t matter that much either. Except for those punt returns 1/9 may have been 11/25 or 12/3.

But from Week 1 through the BCS national championship game, Mathieu wasn't what many of us would call a consistent performer for the LSU Tigers.
Statistically, Mathieu's 2011 season was fairly weak. He had 76 tackles (7.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks and two interceptions. While solid, those numbers are nothing special.
Mathieu really stood out returning punts for the Tigers. While he was capable of some impact plays in big games, he'll need more than an occasional big return to hold down a consistent spot on a 47-man, game-day NFL roster.

THEY WRITE THESE THINGS TO GET READERS/HITS AND MAKE MORE MONEY. QUIT READING IT IF YOU THINK IT IS RETARDED.

How can people exist out there who read Bleacher Report and hold down a fulltime job that doesn't involve greeting grocery store shoppers and are actually annoyed by it?

So the forced fumbles don't count?!?!

If anyone other than Bleacher Report took BR seriously, then we'd have a problem

The only defensive player to be a Heisman Finalist. These guys constantly prove themselves to be incompetent.

If weeks 1-11 are included in "standing out" then you can understand why the rest of the article is crap. He had two impact returns in games 12 and 13. His impact plays on defense happened in games 1-11.
What the article should say is that he doesn't have a lot of interceptions. That's all you could "knock" him for.

I've said this before, but for a while during last season, I thought TM7 was a little more hype and less performance - more the unintended beneficiary of some lucky bounces.
Then, it just kept on, and kept on happening. NO ONE is that lucky. The deal with that dude is this.....
He's got a skill set that's hard to statistically measure. Making a nice punt return is measurable. Making the same punt return when your team's flat, and a score (or two) down? - That's a little tougher to value, or measure.
Go ahead and overlook him, bleacher report. There is not another football player in the country that I'd trade him for. Not one. I wouldn't trade him for Matt Barkley this year, or Trent Richardson last year. No one. That dude almost single handedly got us back into both the Arkansas game, and the Georgia game. If I'm an opposing coach, I fear him, because you can't "game plan" instict and ball skills. He's like freaking rain in August. You know you need it, you know it's coming - you got no idea when - but you know, eventually, it is. When it finally gets there, you breath a sigh of relief, even though you knew at some point it would show up.
