Car insurance claim question

I replaced my car battery myself yesterday and, little did I know, it was cracked and leaking acid. Well I see today that it dripped on my paint and front grille and burned it badly.
Does anyone know if my insurance (comprehensive) will cover something like this?

It should cover it, but how bad is the damage? What is your comp deductible? Are you okay with your rates going up? Possibly getting dropped if you've had multiple claims?
