Wow, great job man.

It does seem a little short for a Mid-Tower.

You are running this from the back of the MOBO to the top right?

My PSU isn't fully modular (just semi), so I had to buy a 24pin extension and a 8 pin extension to be able to sleeve them. I got some NZXT extensions. For some reason I can't get the pins out of my PCI-E 4pin and it's pissing me off

What PSU do you have again?

Why didn't you take the shrouding off and sleeve what you need then cut what you won't use?

I have a corsair hx750. I didn't feel like going into the PSU and messing with it. I needed extensions anyway

Got my 7950 today, but after hours of tinkering I can't get both cards to work together in crossfirex. Each card works individually, but when I crossfire them, only one card works and the other card does nothing. It registers that it's there, and in crossfire, but does nothing.

So I decided to bite the bullet and officially make the transition from console to PC gamer. I just built the following:

Cooler MasterElite 430 Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec EarthWatts Green Series 650 Watt ATX 12V PS
IntelCore i5 3570K 3.4GHz LGA 1155 Processor
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 Video Card
Crucial 128 GB SSD
Samsung22x DVDRW Burner SATA
Windows 7 Home Premium

It is awesome. On my previous machine I couldn't run starcraft 2 on anything higher than medium settings at a low resolution, and now its at 1080, ultra settings, 140 fps.

PC

Next goals down the road: learn/experiment with overclock, lookout for monitors for eventual eyefinity setup.

did you put a SSD in it? If you didn't you are cheating yourself.

Yes sir. And all the talk was right, I can't get over how quickly it boots up. If you're trying to get in the BIOS, don't blink, or you might miss your chance.

I actually have an SSD but no HDD. I might put a HDD in later, but I'm good for now.

Yeah, I know I'll need the space eventually, but right now I'm trying to go with the "just have the 2-3 games I'm currently playing installed" theme.

I don't have more than 2 games installed on mine. Mine is 256gb. I also have a 2tb HDD in there for storage.

I just moved my OS to my SSD (240 gigs) I have over 240 steam games and probably another 30 on disk or from other sites. I have a 1tb HD for the games I want to keep installed and use this tool to move my Steam games to and from my SSD.

Not yet... After I get off work I plan to do some sleeving and playing the rest of the day. Hopefully I'll have some finished so I can get some pics

Blue about your GPU coolers for those 7850s.

Are you looking into the Artics? I heard really good things about their hybrid coolers, but that would be pretty hard to put both of them under water.

I was actually probably going to get artic's acclero 3 (the best model and I think only one compatible with the 7950). They're only $99 a pop, and for water cooled, that would only cover the water blocks

Gotcha.

I just would hate having 6 fans in my case just for the GPUs.
