Average or Sucky movies that should be remade?

The Red Dawn Trailer thread got me to thinking -- since Hollywood has such a hard on to remake movies, what are some good candidates?
To me, I'd pick something that sucked, but really was a great idea but poorly executed.
Some "could have been great" movies I'd love to see remade:
Striptease -- the movie sucked but the book was funny as hell (I'm a huge Carl Hiaasen fan). The producers did this movie a dis-service by trying to make it a drama.
Hamburger Hill -- I could see the battle of Hamburger Hill becoming a fantastic story very similar to 'Saving Private Ryan'. The history of Hamburger Hill really is interesting.
Bio-Dome -- this movie could've been funny as hell. I can only imagine what Vince Vaughn could do with this movie.
Real Genius -- please, just get a better actor to play the young geeky guy.
Waterworld -- make it shorter, but with you know, and actual story with meaningful dialog. The idea of Waterworld was fantastic though... just crappy execution and non-existent dialog.
Ok - sorry if this is a trite thread - I'm new to M/TV board and haven't seen this subject. Ignore if my crappy use of the search button annoys you.
TL:DR - what movies should be remade?: Striptease, Hamburger Hill, Bio-Dome, Real Genius, Waterworld.

It was a drama? Seemed like an unfunny comedy to me but I never really paid too much attention to the dialogue.
