I'm intrested in skiing around false river because I have a place to store my boat. I know the lake gets rough and is not good for skiing, but I saw a canal in the northeast corner of the lake that may be good. Does anyone know if that canal is skiable? They have a few bridges that a tower would have to fit under too.

dude that canal is like 100 meters long. plus there is a clam bed up around there in the lake nd you have to know how to get around it. best way to wake False river is at 6am. or wake surf.

False river is my least favorite place to wakeboard because there is always a chop

almost any lake in america is ski able in the morning hours before the winds and boats pick up.

Dude, look at the shape of the lake. There is always a protected area. Best place to ski close to BR by far. The canal is no wake and not skiable.

You don't know what you are talking about. Stick to the Amite and Tickfaw. We don't want you out here.

pay attention to the direction the wind is coming out of... you can usually find a part of the lake protected.

The only reason I want to ski out there is because I go to lsu and dont have a place to put my boat besides a buddys camp on false river otherwise I would ski the intercostal or the tickfaw they seem closer.

Intercostal is close but ghetto. If your buddy is south and on the island side it's a 20-25 minute drive. It's the way to go.
