Have we ever had a class come in that is this "tight" with each other?

Granted the whole class is not as tight due to geographic location but it seems as if the core guys in the class have a really good relationship. I know most can be pointed towards the camaraderie from playing on the bootleggers together but then I see the pic of Desean and Rettig on the golf course in Cali….I’m really excited about what these guys can do for us on the field. They seem to be all around good people too. Can’t wait! The future of LSU is BRIGHT!!!

Looking forward to finishing strong with this class (remaining spots) and a highly touted 2014 class.

Same here....I have only been following recruiting for the last 3 years...

For those that have been following longer, have we ever had a tighter group of guys coming in?

But, with the advent of Twitter and other social media it seems easier for these guys to connect and form relationships

I didn't think about that...very good point

The 2011 class had a tight ranking of #2 by rivals, right now our tight ranking is at about #4. But if these guys go on a camping or fishing trip before NSD, I think we can get to #1

Id say 2011 and 2009 were closer.

If the south la and north la kids could get along, our tight rankings would soar.

I agree. The 2011 class was pretty tight as evidenced by the only signing day surprise was Rasco. Everyone else was in the fold and came to camp with that group attitude. As a result many saw the field last year instead of a mass of redshirts...

I think these 2013's have a chance to exceed that "collectiveness" (Les word). Also the 2014 class is off to a good start with players already recruiting other players through the camps.

The 2001 class was pretty "tight".

Marcus Spears, Marquise Hill, Michael Clayton, Ben Wilkerson.

The Big 4 that started this whole amazing 10-12 year run.

On a serious note, the advent of Twitter/Facebook has clearly opened the door to recruits forming relationships before they ever reach campus, as an earlier post said. Much easier for recruiting classes to become 'tight' in this day and age, no matter the geography.
