From a discussion on the Olympics Board:
I don't know how tough it would be to implement here, but on one of the other sites I visit we have a

Spoiler:
tag much like the link/img tags. Anything that goes in the spoiler tags get hidden until someone hovers over that area it shows up as ------------------------------------

that's the beauty of the spoiler tag, it would be really hard to abuse, imo. If someone just says something stupid and doesn't spoil anything, it doesn't really make much of a difference. People trying to avoid the spoiler would never even see that someone was acting like an idiot.

I'm sure some would at first, but then the newness would wear off and it's greater good (the sanity of places like the Movie/TV Board) would far outweigh the initial cons.

also chicken, not that my opinion counts as much, but i say at least try it out. see how it goes, can always take it away if it does not work out. such as the youtube in-bedding experiment

I think this is a great idea, but instead of the
