the young sports guy on i think nbc had/has a night time show on 690. omg i thought he was having a stroke on air. so bad. silence for 30 seconds, then some stuttering, rinse, repeat.

I read something on Joe Cardosi's Twitter about 'hard work paying off' or something like that. Could be him, maybe?
Also, I agree it definitely won't be Gerry V or Mackel. Not sure why the Graff would be ruled out.

With Gerry V doing his own afternoon drive show, doubtful he would be interested. Plus him and Gus don't seem like a match anyway....

If the show is to have any chance then he needs to be ruled out. Graff is a Tulane/Saints homer who is really just a glorified fan who is allowed to call Tulane Games. He and Gus would be terrible on a permanent basis.
They need someone similar to Larry. Experienced, non-biased journalist who is also entertaining.

SO it is confirmed that Larry is done after Friday? I have not listend much this past week but I heard no mention of this once when I was. Just checking, I want to believe you.
