I didn't want to start another Penn St thread, but I didn't see a mention of this in any others..

Paterno holds one more victory over Eddie Robinson all time. There are rumors that Penn St found out about the charges coming down weeks before, but let Paterno keep coaching so that he could beat the record. Should the NCAA take away victories to restore Robinson to the all time winningest coach.

There is a lawyer in Grambling working on this already, which is why I heard about it..

I think so. They can't let a man who knew about child rape have the record.

Penn State should have to hire Bobby Bowden so he can get to 410.

No, and it shouldn't. Robinson spent his time at some roody poo FCS or D2 school.

to Eddie Robinson. The uncle and human in me wants this to happen. I don't know if it can legally under NCAA by laws. would like some clarification if ne1 here has looked it up.
If JoPa had done the right thing his record would be all the more astounding.

Considering how these people have been so apologetic for Paterno the timing of the shite hitting the fan there(two days after he broke the record) makes you wonder.

Paterno should rot in hell, but the thought of taking away hs record is beyond fricking stupid. The wins happened.

You don't know a damn thing about Eddie Robinson if that's what you think of him.

How did this aid him in getting that many wins? Don't be stupid.

The thing that's kind of disgusting is how they kept this whole thing quiet until the week after Joe Pa broke the record.

If you're gonna allow D2 then you will have to allow D3.

I was not arguing the fact of where he caoched but to make a staement that he coached at some roody poo school is disrepectful to the man and coach he was.

He coached and won during a time when black coachs were not allowed at major programs. Who knows what he could have done and a big program. The man could flat out coach. He took Grambling from less than a highschool team to national exposure. He put out many NFL players during his time there.

Why? Nobody just erased everything OJ Simpson did after his incident(yes I know he was acquitted). He was not kicked out of the pro football hall of fame. Not defending Paterno, but he did coach all of those wins.

While OJ did kill someone he didn't let his buddy continue raping little boys on campus and turn a blind eye to it for over ten yrs while he was getting those wins.

If Barry Bonds went and blew up the Empire State Building and killed 10,000 people, would he still not be the all time home run king? Would they erase him from the record books? I doubt it. You cant just wave a magic wand and say something did not happen.

Just because you did something horrible or let something horrible happen to others doesn't change history. Did the Germans erase Hitler from their history books from the time he served as the chancellor/dictator of Germany. No.

If Barry Bonds did this you wouldn't be hearing/seeing anything about Barry Bonds from MLB.

I remember wen he hit 400 and the Advocate did some features on him. They talked to one of his players from the 1970s. He said ER would punish players for mediocre grades, and he gave the coach credit for his successes in life after football.

I'm not disrespecting the man at all, but if you're gonna bring up FCS or D2 then you might as well do D3 and NAIA as well.
Bryant, Bowden, Paterno, etc didn't load up playing Northeast Jabroni State and Southern Roody Poo Poly like Robinson did.
