You are not getting the point or even how th system works.

Joe Pa was getting these wins while he was letting this go on not after his career was over.

BB will never make it to the HOF because of his steriod use DURING his career and his home run record will be forever tainted.

Besides I don't really give a damn one way or another what they do with his wins. I just won't let people put Coach Rob down like he was a nobody.

It wasn't like he was at Alabama and played the sisters of the poor. He coached against teams that were at his level. What's wrong with that?

There is a precedent for vacating or stripping victories from corrupt programs. The crux of this particular situation is that they knew the charges were coming, but the DA's office postponed until after Paterno broke the record. The AD had also secured Paterno a golden parachute to make sure he retired after the season, because they knew it was about to hit the fan.

No offense, but the Bonds and OJ analogies are just dumb. But let's say that Bonds was found guilty in the steroid cases and it was proven without a doubt that he had cheated. You don't think Aaron would have gotten his record back?

Yes I am.

Has nothing to do with what was going on with Sandusky.

Never said he will be in the HOF. He will be in the record book, maybe with an asterisk, but he will be in the record book. He did knock those balls over the fence.

The sad part is Coach Robinson a much better man than he was a football coach, and thats saying a lot.

When the top coaches of all time are mentioned his name should always be brought up.

So, let me get this straight, you saying that all of paterno's and bowdens wins came againist top notch football teams and none of their wins came against " roddy poo poly" schools?

Umm ok then.

Will Eddie Robinson's record be restored?
No, and it shouldn't. Robinson spent his time at some roody poo FCS or D2 school.

you know Gram would have beat the ish out of Florida in the 60's and 70's. Until the mid 90's Gram had more players in the NFL than any other college. One of his early 70's teams had 23 players drafted.

I'm not disrespecting the man at all, but if you're gonna bring up FCS or D2 then you might as well do D3 and NAIA as well.
Bryant, Bowden, Paterno, etc didn't load up playing Northeast Jabroni State and Southern Roody Poo Poly like Robinson did.

do you realize in the 50's, 60's, 70's and early 80's all the players that are in the SEC now were in the SWAC. Look at the legends the SWAC produced.

I wonder what's going to come out in the next 10 years.

I mean this was kept in the dark for 10 years because it's a small college town and the police officers/administrators are all in for the PSU football team.

I don't wish this on anyone but stuff like this may be coming out at more college towns in the future...and it's awful

Imagine being a PSU grad and going to an interview...think they're gonna bring this up?

Eddie Robinson, Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden all have one thing in common. They should have retired 5 years before they did. They put their egos ahead of their programs.

It's not totally their egos, they're afraid of going out like Bear.

Very true. Grambling put A LOT of players in the NFL. At one time in the 80's or 90's Grambling still had the most total players in the history of the AFL and NFL.

Because he helped orchestrate a huge criminal conspiracy that sheilded a predator. Beyond that, the DA and university acted intentionally to stall an investigation so that he could get a record to pad his career resume.. Just my opinion..
