What year was it made, after '92?

The model 70 is once again legit.

The new Model 70's are excellent. I've bought two in the last 3 years. Awesome triggers. I have a 7mm-08 featherweight and a 270 Sporter. Sub MOA out of the box

Winchester is the oldest continually-operating manufacturer in the United States.

winchester is a very good gun. in fact, i'm not real sure why more people don't buy them considering that they are cheaper.

Any worse than 3.5" mags?
Would a heavier gun be better for 30-06 iyo?

Never shot 3.5" mags, but I couldn't shoot mine more than twice a day without feeling like I dislocated my shoulder. Of course, that could just be the Walmarks model

Don't know enough about the rifles but their last few models of duck shotguns are nothing more than a Browning rebadged.
I don't know if that is a knock on Winchester or Browning.

Isn't Browning made in Japan these days?

Depends on which gun you're referring to, The Maxus is made in Portugal.

I've got a Model 70 in .243WSSM. Awesome little gun. It is like carrying a feather through the woods after my Remington ought six. Fun gun to shoot too. No kick, very accurate, flat shooting, enormous range, makes deer be still. Bought it off of a guy at the camp because his son wanted to move up to a .270. He tries to buy it back off of me every season now.
