Anyone read it? I'm a couple hundred pages in and still can't really get into it.

Yeah. Dune is pretty good. I thought it was a bit cheesy in parts, but it is sci-fi from the 60's. Most people think its great.

It's my favorite sci-fi book, but I haven't really read much sci-fi. It's a really good book, but it definitely takes a little while to get into. The introduction of the characters at the beginning is a little boring, but necessary.

It is one of my favorites as well. I haven't read it in about 10 years though, so I'm due for a re-read.
