Why were his tweets worth mentioning on CFB Live? Players these days put anything and everything on twitter, but yet they try to single him out as being overly confident. I don't mind his tweets at all because he can go out and back up every word of it! Can't wait for Sept. 1

Media these days will quote anything and everything on twitter, but yet they try to act like a tweet is never just a tweet.

They're not picking on your precious LSU player.

Oh wait...ESPN hates LSU so CFB Live hates TM7.
It all makes sense now.

Now that isn't even close to being true.

Yeah, Germans , but for those who forgot  Honey Badger's Friday tweet said "I am the best defensive player in college football!  Bottom line as humble as I can say it! Stop comparing me, I'm a different breed!"
Rod Gilmore said he should have focused on team and that he needs to improve fundamentals and not be so sloppy and lazy. Of course they showed Bama BCS game highlights of him getting burned.  Went on to say he has to be better at jamming receivers and his footwork need to be more consistent. Joe Tesotore then jumped on by saying Tyrann  might not even be the best defensive player in SEC with  Jarvis Jones and Robert Lester out there or even the best on his own team with the likes  of Sam Montgomery .
Ok, I know he is cocky and has a lot of swag, but he was the Bednarik award winner which IS given to the best defensive player. Would have been nice if they remembered that instead of just pounding the kid.

It would be different if he was a scrub, but he's a complete stud and one of the most polarizing figures in the nation. ESPN needs to get a life.

So Gilmore has 1st hand knowledge that HB7 has not been iwork his arse off to improve himself this offseason?

Rod Gilmore and Joe Tessitore just want to blow Kellen Moore and every Boise State player...typically no one else lives up to those standards

Gilmore based his comment on last year, thus Gilmore is correct. Showed exactly where HB7 has fundamental issues. Never did Gilmore say HB7 wasn't working hard on improving and never in any way did he bash HB7. He was spot on.

"because TM7 is one of the most popular players in CFB and he is always running his mouth"

Couldn't have explained it better

Did I mention he is always running his mouth?

Tyrann Mathieu is the best defensive player in college football. End of discussion.

ESPN just needs to fill up dead air time. I don't even watch the crap anymore save for highlights here and there.

No kidding. They think that is bad? Can you imagine the jawwing that goes on during the actual game on the field?

Those are legitimate criticism and if you don't see these weaknesses on TM7, you're just being biased. He is no doubt a damn good player/defender, but he is NOT the best defensive player YET in college football and still gets a lot to improve, including his maturity.
