I love how I got a lot of responses saying Gohan was suppose to take over when nothing backs that opinion up at all. The story was never about Gohan, just because many of you got attached to him during the 10 episodes he was important in the cell saga, doesn't mean he was propped up to take the helm. He was a kid, he was half-human, and he had a father who loved fighting whereas Gohan didn't like to fight as much. I think some of you have blinders on.

Ever since Gohan hit Raditz the entire arc was unleashing his hidden power. It finally happened against cell and Gohan was poised to take over as protector of the earth. That can't really be argued. At all.

it was the next logical progression of the story. What's it like to be so wrong about something?

And BB in my opinion is 100% right. Ever since Gohan's hidden power emerged against Raditz, he was destined to take over for Goku. All through the Sayian and Frieza sagas it was constantly built up for Gohan to take over. Goku had officially passed the torch when he stepped aside to let Gohan defeat Cell.

On top of that, Goku died for a 2nd, and supposed to be final, time against Cell. He couldn't be wished back.

That was supposed to be the passing of the torch moment.

Either way, the fans didn't want Goku gone. Gohan was built up as if he was taking over, and he did have his moments against all of the main villains. It is known that Gohan doesn't have the drive to train and fight like Vegeta and Goku, so it makes sense that Goku would still be the guy. It's not like Goku was old after the Cell saga, as Saiyans don't age like humans.

That's offensive. Hawkeye is 1000x more badass than Yamcha.

He could have made cameo appearances. Show him BSing/training on King Kai's planet every once in a while and/or poking his head in to give Gohan encouragement/advice during his fights. I would have been happy with that.

But in Dragon Ball Multiverse there is a universe where Yamcha somehow ended up a cyborg and is pretty powerful. Also in the same universe apparently Goku didn't bump his head and tried I destroy earth but the earth won and Krillin grew old to become the new Turtle Master and one of the most powerful people on Earth.

It's a pathetic universe, honestly.

Not confirmed for the new movie, but in the new Dragon Ball Heroes game, Goku is shown transforming. He's wearing the same gi that he has on in Revival of F, but the camera stops panning up for a mystery reveal at a later date.

Could be nothing, but here is the link to the video.

From r/DBZ

quote:

This was brought up a good while ago, but Dragon Ball Heroes has been notorious in inventing forms and transformations (Bebi Janemba, Ssj3/4 Broly, etc) when they didn't exist in any form elsewhere.

Given that it's a card-based game, they'll go out of their way to make up or come up with new ways of creating new cards, and suggesting that he's got a "new form" is hardly out of their comfort zone about such things.

There's been nothing in the trailers or the manga so far to even hint at another new form, and given that Ssj God is still essentially brand new, I really, really doubt we'll see a new form appearing in the movie.

I'm still hoping Vegeta gets the glory this go-round. I wouldn't mind seeing a self obtained transformation. The way Goku became a SSJG in BoG disappointed me.

ETA: BoG is free on Xbox Live right now.
