Do game simulations generally not make sense?

I am playing a Heisman challenge season with Herschel Walker and Georgia.
Meanwhile, LSU is 3-4 (0-3 SEC), out of the top 25 and was just blown out by 30 points at home by South Carolina. WTF?

EA must hate LSU. In all of my Dynasty's on 12 LSU would have about 2 good years and then they start sucking every year.

Yeah this is definitely screwed up. I just finished the season with Georgia at number one.
Number two somehow was Kansas State? Tulsa was in the top 10 and Arkansas State was in the top 25. LSU lost in the BBVA Compass Bowl to Temple.

They are legit. Started my dynasty there and sim all the games and only recruited and finished first year with 2 losses and ranked #19.
