For those who don't follow college football much, let me quickly take you through J.J. Arrington's accomplishments last season:
2,018 yards rushing (led nation)
100+ yards in every game
7.0 yards per rush
15 touchdowns
21 receptions for 121 yards
And he didn't do this against weak competition, Arrington was the workhorse for the Cal Bears team that was in the hunt for a BCS game all season, particularly impressive when you consider they shared a conference with USC.

both 5-9, ran the same 40, only like 8 lbs difference.

What's Ingram have to do with anything? Richardson is way better than him.
And he weighs 228. Having the same measurements mean jack shite. That's like saying drew brees and chase Daniel are on the same playing field

When a "great rookie" comes along like Adrian Peterson, there was some success prior to him getting there.
Chester Taylor had +1,200 yards 42 catches and a 4.0 average the year before AP showed (and they brought in Steve Hutchinson, the guy who made Shawn Alexander.)
Maybe TR will be something, but the 6th best RB...how could you draft him that high?

4 yards per carry in the NFL as a rookie? I'll take it. He only played in 10 games, who knows where his numbers would've been at the end of the year.

Coly McCoy factor- I imagine the 11 guys in the box were difficult to run on. Brandon Weeden is going to open things up for their RBs.

So many RBs are a crapshoot after the first few. You go for the HR with TR early. He will be a beast, especially in PPR leagues

Likely take him that high because he's a true workhorse back and those are few and far between. You draft him based on volume and immense talent upside. No one is guaranteeing greatness, but if he can get 275 carries and 30-40 catches who cares if he average 3.5 yards per carry? assuming he averages 7-8 yards per catch, that's 1,300+ yards and if he can throw in TDs he'll be worth it. a mediocre 4.0 yards per carry would put him close to 1,500 based on those volume #s, and it's not a far stretch to think he can average 4 ypc
Remember Hillis was also a beast 2 years ago before he shat the bed with injuries / general unproductivity last year

If "getting adjusted" to the NFL means he averages 3.5 yards per carry, so be it. I'll take that with 300+ touches.

Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, MJD, Addai, Chris Johnson, Slaton, Forte, Kevin Smith, Jonathan Stewart, Knoshon, Beanie, Blount, Ryan Matthews, Chris Ivory, Demarco Murray etc etc
All players who were RB1 or RB2 their rookie years

Doug Martin is also gonna go pretty high in most drafts. Another 5'9'' RB looking to get most of the work in Tampa Bay's run game.

I think in a ppr league, Richardson will go late first. Otherwise, I would say he is likely a second round pick. His pass catching skills is very underrated.

Maybe I'm just wary after being burnt by Ingram last year (yes I realize TRs in a completely different situation n Cle), but I don't see how he's goin off the board in the 1st. You're 1st pick has to be a sure thing & i'm sure as hell not risking my 1st pik in a rookie RB in the that offense.

Very tempted to draft him. Most mocks have him going early 2nd, too high for my tastes

I'm with you Kash, I can't understand how they hype rookies like that. Yea, he will be the starter, but what makes them so sure the browns won't suck like they do every year? Didn't they say the same thing about Ryan Matthews his rookie year?
