Anybody else try this? It's a recent xbla release. I enjoy retro platformers so I was intrigued by it.
Apparently it was freeware on pc a while back. It seems deceptively easy at first glance, but this game can be brutally difficult. Tiki traps and spiked floors make me want to kick puppies.
And since this isn't about NCAA, cod, bf3, or halo 2, I expect it to be buried in five minutes.

It's much more than a port of the original game, and has new graphics, music, zones, monsters, items, traps, and secrets. The controls are much smoother, too, and designed specifically for the gamepad.

Yeah, there was a graphical upgrade.
And I never played the original, but apparently there are some new areas and gameplay tweaks as well.
They also added in a multiplayer. Local only unfortunately, which means I'll never play it. Based off a few videos I've seen, playing with four people is a chaotic mess.
Chaos is a good way to describe the gameplay in general. I can be having a hell of a game and shite goes sideways in about .3 seconds. Adds to the excitement when you do well, but it's like a punch to the gut when you kick off a chain reaction that leads to your death.

frick that then. When it said Indie game, I assumed it was in the indie section of the marketplace and most of those are around 80 I thought.
