The more I think about it, the more I truly think any of these combinations in our midfield would excel:
Gerrard-Xabi-Eriksen
Gerrard-Xabi-Henderson
Gerrard-Xabi-Lucas-Eriksen
Gerrard-Xabi-Suarez
Truly I would love to see a club outside of the top 3 try and take the ball from that midfield.

I think y'all will get him as well. What happens to Joe Allen and Henderson though? Not room for them, Stevie, CE/xabi, Lucas, and jonjo.

I think Jonjo will get shipped out. Lucas would be fantastic cover.
Allen is 22 as is Henderson. Neither are on huge wages, and Gerrard/Xabi have maybe 2-3 years left of playing at the highest level. If either have anything left after that, it will almost certainly be limited a la Carragher the past 2 seasons.

I say we put a season loan on Jonjo so he can get some PT but at the same time I'd like him to be able be around Xabi & Gerrard more. But in the end I think he needs to go on loan. We'll retain him but also give him that much needed PT for growth.

Agreed. He's got talent, and he's one of the few midfielders we have that can score, but he just needs to mature.

I'm unsure about Jonjo... he has talent, but man he's a knucklehead... That said, he appears to love the club and wasnt to keep going..
I dont know what this says, but I'd sent him to Blackpool for Tom Ince..
If we do bring in an attacking mid like Eriksen, I think at the very least he should go on loan... Suso too

Saw that too but didn't get a chance to look at any video yet. I assume he'd be a much cheaper addition than Eriksen.

I would hope that they could deal for both...
They appear to have different qualities... this guy appears more of a goal scorer, where CE appears to be a better all around CM and passer of the ball..

Whatever we do this summer we have to improve the defense and bring more quality to the club as a whole if we plan on keeping Suarez.

I would. Mkhitaryan disappeared on the pitch during the only two games I have watched him in v Chelsea and v BVB. Doesn't contribute as much to the team and gives away the ball a lot. Isn't very technical either. He does however have the knack of scoring some important goals, goals that usually look good too.

I should clarify and say I would be disappointed to go for him over CE, but not to have him in the squad... I think he's a pretty good player over the last two years Ive seen him... limited to a few CL performances... And a good goal scorer.. I'd rather CE and a goal scorer that would provide more width winger/striker
