Is there anything close to singles tennis. It is physically exhausting. No one can coach or help you. You have got to figure everything out on your own. In the majors, they've got to be concentrating sometimes over 5 hours.
Any other sport come close?

one can argue that not every shot in tennis counts. you only have to break once to win a set and such.

in golf literally every stroke you take is going to determine your finish and how much money you could be making.

i vote golf.

Baseball. The season is very long and each game is a grind. You have to be focused and perform at a high level non-stop for the better part of a year. Every day.

With golf you have a caddy to tell you things, calm you down and carry your shite. Even how to hit the ball. Golf is also not physically exhausting, which is dealt with mentally. Hell, they're only walking and swinging a club about 45 times and then putting. I agree golf is mentally challenging, but I watched some of that tournament yesterday. That guy in the last group's caddy was telling him everything to do.

I think you make a fair point. I would counter that, in tennis, the fact that you're playing against somebody adds immensely to the mental aspect of the sport. So in addition to having nerves when you hit shots (as in golf), you also have a chess match of sorts going on with your opponent.

Also, when you start melting down in tennis, it can't help that there are lots and lots of people with their eyes right on you.

I vote tennis.

It's definitely not baseball brah

Guys like Nyjer Morgan, Milton Bradley, etc don't scream "mentally tough". I doubt they could hack it "mentally" in other sports.....

I get mad when people say "and it's not even close" because generally when arguing about something it must be close.

This is one of the rare times I will ever say it. It's golf, and it's not even close.

How can you say that when you've got a caddy telling you how far it is, what club to hit and how to hit it? Plus, he is there to carry your shite and calm you down when you go mental.
