Guys,

I've noticed pretty much every mock draft has us taking Rivers at 10. I am definitely a fan of Rivers bc I don't believe these type of players come around that often. Great first step, cross over will break defenders down and he can stroke with the best of them. Gotta remember too that yes, he did go to Duke (whom everyone loves to hate) and he is the best player and son of a great NBA coach. Of course he got EVERYONE"S best game in college.

My thought: Pick Rivers at 10, play him at STARTING SG (6'5") and then play Mr. Gordon at PG? Look I've attended many games last year and the ones Gordon played in it seemed he had the ball in his hands, especially towards the end of the game. This way you now have EG, RIvers, and AD23 on the floor at all times. We also have money to pay a starting 3 or roll with Aminu at 3?

Gordon
Rivers
Aminu/Gay?
AD23
Davis

Then the following year you again have enough $$$ to pay a real Center. Don't wanna say Howard bc I don't like his attitude or loyalty buuuuttt....just sayin..

Ur thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I love this game lol

Handling the ball in the half court is not all there is to being a point guard. They also have to bring the ball up court and get the team into the right plays. Gordon has good handles, but he's not exactly a floor general.

The good ones have us taking Jeremy Lamb.

Rivers is a combo guard just like Gordon, at the end of the games I would like the combo, still would like a traditional point starting.

It's a magic world. There are no salary cap implications and James Dolan is running every other team.

If he is still there, I don't see how we don't.

Yea i mean i hear you..i know he has a large contract and we'd have to trade for him but we don't have or really want to give anything up at this point. i guess i was just saying we could pay for one through FA..however I'm not sure who would be available or worth it to us.

Question!

Do clones work off the same contract or would we have to pay them separately?

Rivers would play point before Gordan.

Rivers wouldn't start the first year anyway, I could see him as a Steph Curry type player in the future.

Jack and GV are very serviceable PGs

Rose and Westbrook are combo guards in the same mold as EG. I think EG could slide over at play "PG".

Pretty much any mock draft or person who wants to take Rivers wants to leave Gordon at SG and thinks Rivers can play the point.

Not so much. Combo guards, sure. Same mold as EG, surely not.
