European beer odyssey (long)

Went to France, Germany, Austria and Italy over the last 3 weeks and got to try a slew of stuff I've never had in the states:
France:
Edelweiss Weissbier - this is Austrian but had it in Paris....typical weiss, nothing special
Germany:
Augustiner Weissbier, Dunkel, Helles & Radler - Every German person I talked to said this was their favorite brand to drink (over Spaten, Hofbrau, Paulaner, etc)...it delivered, fantastic stuff. We had all of these "Ein Maß" (large steins) at the biergarten by the Viktualienmarkt in Munich...we were toast by the end of it, but enjoyed the hell out of these.
Hofbrau Maibock & Weiss Radler - went to Hofbrauhaus just to experience it once...Maibock was potent, but good...the Radler (half beer/half lemon soda) was easy-drinking and refreshing, felt like cheating though....
Weihenstephaner Original, Hefe-weissbier, Vitus & Korbinian - We toured the Weihenstephan brewery up in Freising (north of Munich) and got to try a ton of stuff. I've had the original and Hefe-weiss before, some of the best German beer in the US, but the Vitus (which was chosen the world's best beer in 2011) was awesome...it's a Weizenbock, but went down much easier than I would've thought with a 7.9% ABV. The Korbinian doppebock was equally as good, finishing cleaner than most in that category. A great side-trip.
Augustiner Edelstoff - tasted much like the helles, but a bit stronger in the ABV
Austria:
Augustiner Helles (on draft) - In Salzburg, went to the Augustiner Bräustübl (brewhouse) at the edge of town...beer was served out of these giant casks...really refreshing under the trees of their biergarten
Trumer Pils - had this at the Hohensalzburg fortress, nice for a mid-afternoon beer
Stiegl Goldbrau - didn't get to tour the Stiegl brewery, but this went great with our fish dish at dinner in Hallstatt
König Ludwig Weissbier Dunkel - it may have been that I had this later in the night, but this was one of my favorite beers I had on the trip...great blend of dark and weiss, strong body and clean finish
Zipfer Marzen - typical Oktoberfest-type beer...enjoyable, even in summertime...

I had a lot of those when I went to Oktoberfest. fricking awesome time. Sounds like you had a great trip. No significant beers to speak of from Italy?

Had a couple moretti's and Peroni's in Italy, but I've had those before...stuck to wine in Italia...
