The Detroit Pistons have agreed to trade Ben Gordon and a 2013 protected first-round pick to the Charlotte Bobcats for swingman Corey Maggette, a league source told ESPN.com.

Not only did you get traded to the bobcats for corey maggette but the pistons had to throw in a first round pick to seal the deal.

He had to get paid. I dont blame him. But he was overpaid in a weak market that years.

He'd be a great sixth man on a playoff team. Like a poor mans Jason Terri

smartest thing the Bulls ever did was letting him walk and not overpaying him.

Well I agree he wasn't worth the money. But I feel like he ruined his career by leaving the Bulls. I wish he was willing to settle for less money, but I can't blame him for not wanting to settle either.

For the Bobcats, they basically just bought a future 1st round pick. Rich Cho is doing like he did in OKC and stockpiling draft picks to try to build Charlotte through the draft. It was reported Jordan has given full control to Cho, which is the first smart thing he's done. The price for the pick was Gordon, but Charlotte has a TON of cap room so it's not a big deal to eat his contract. He also gives the Bobcats some scoring off the bench.

Charlotte's next move is supposedly trading #2 to Cleveland for #4 and #24. They'll still get Robinson/MKG/Barnes at #4 and get another first rounder out of it. I'm liking where this is going so far. It's refreshing to not have a general frick-up in charge of Charlotte personnel for a change.

yeah, Cho's supposed to be a good one, but I'm still sketchy on the new coach hire.

I wonder what they do with Tyrus and Diop.

The Dunlap hire is certifiably insane.
