The album is fantastic, but far from underrated. It's what put the Flaming Lips on the map (She Dont Use Jelly aside)

Critics and fans alike rightfully rank it as one of the best albums of the 90s, so I wouldn't call it underrated.
It's one of my desert island records.

It's kind of lost luster for most recently seemingly. Rarely gets talked about, at least from what I read.

I could be wrong.

Soft Bulletin was ok. I much prefer their last 3 LPs.

I saw them perform the whole album at Sasquatch last year. Was pretty cool, but too mellow for a flaming lips show.

no way for me. Soft Bulletin is easily their best IMO. Clouds Taste Metallic is the only one that comes close.

Kinda bummed they'll only be playing 2 songs tomorrow...but should still be an interesting show.

This is another band I'm late on discovering. I have only really listened to their last 3, and I absolutely LOVED Embryonic. Once my Modest Mouse discography journey ends in October or November I may have to do something similar with TFL.
