we have swallows continuing to next around my house...front door area, lint vent, trees in around the front of my house. plus they're getting really aggressive. At this point, I can't walk out of the front door. They dive bomb at us in the front and dive bomb my small dogs when they're outside in the backyard.

Any suggestions for dealing with these (besides the obvious "choot em")?

Since you don't want to shoot em, maybe just flashing a Judge at em will shoo them to the neighbor's house.

A quick search reveals that swallows are protected by laws that forbid you to mess with their nest if there are eggs present (which I'm guessing there are if they are being so aggressive). Of course, it's only illegal if you get caught

The best I can suggest is get some bird netting or some screening stuff and block off their access to the places on your house they like to go. And if you want to be mean, destroy their existing nests.

Oh and if they dive bomb at you, get a tennis racket and show 'em who's boss.

We had them for several years. The first year the wife and kids fell in love. Last year there were two nests and one over the back glass of wife's vehicle so it was always full of shite.

This year they returned. One nest on my motion flood lights so I pulled out the 12 gauge and shot 3 (over a couple of days).

Bastards are smart. I tried hiding by vehicle with a dip net but they'd veer QUICKLY when I made my move. They couldn't out maneuver my 12 Gauge though.
