For the Men, with Baseball remaining (including today's results for T&F):
1. Florida - 89
2. LSU - 78
3. North Carolina - 75
4. Alabama - 72
5. Kentucky - 70
6. UCLA - 64
7. Ohio St - 60.5
8. Loyola - 60
9. North Dakota St - 60
10. USC - 56
11. Stanford - 54.5
16. Oregon - 40
17. Arkansas - 39
25. Arizona - 30
28. Florida St - 29
44. Oklahoma - 18
59. Baylor - 9
63. South Carolina - 9
68. Kent St. 6
79. St. John's - 4

Scoring for baseball is:
1 - 60
2 - 36
3 - 30
4 - 24
5 - 18
6 - 15
7 - 12
8 - 9
9 - 6
10 - 3

So, to overtake Florida, at the least we need to make it to Omaha and Florida not to. I included other notables that could overtake us depending on results of CWS.

For the women, the final (I think, also includes T&F and Softball):
1. Stanford - 152.5
2. UCLA - 110
3. Alabama - 100
4. LSU - 98
5. Duke - 83

Damn, didn't realize we were that high, thought we were more around 10th. Looks like Baseball can push us through!

The 2nd place finish for Men's, and 1st place finish for Women's Track and Field moved us up tremendously.

So how does the scoring work then?

The women's cup isn't nearly as practical, though.

yes... but I'm assuming UF and UNC and the other schools in the top 10 didn't do nearly as well in track & field as the LSU men (since it seems we're keying in on the men's standings only in this thread)

Wait, so how does the scoring work? If we won the CWS over UF wouldn't we get 60 pts and they get 36?

60+78> 89+36

For Cross Country, Water Polo (Men's), Field Hockey (Women's), Skiing, Rifle, Fencing, Wrestling, Swimming and Diving, Indoor Track and Field, Hockey, Bowling (Women's), Gymnastics, Volleyball (Men's), Tennis and Golf, and Rowing (Women's) scoring is

1 - 20
2 - 12
3 - 10
4 - 8
5 - 6
6 - 5
7 - 4
8 - 3
9 - 2
10 -1

For Soccer, Football (both FCS and FBS), Volleyball (Women's), Basketball, Lacross, Outdoor Track, and Baseball/Softball, scoring is:

1 - 60
2 - 36
3 - 30
4 - 24
5 - 18
6 - 14
7 - 12
8 - 9
9 - 6
10 - 3

Again, the above standings are including today's finish at the Track championship

Just saying, worst case scenario for LSU, we have to make it out of Supers and Florida can't. If we win, then no matter how anyone else places, we win the cup.

Not if Stoneybrook does what they should tomorrow. Also it looks like UF is going to run NCState out of Gainesville. So the chances of us going to Omaha and UF not right now are slim in my opinion.
