As a Hornets fan, did you find yourself rooting for OKC?

I find it hard to, kinda rooting for spurs or celts cause they been there kind of done that with some of those players. With teams like OKC, they make me a bit more jealous as they are doing what we want to do so it makes it tough for me to root for them. They got such the young golden egg even though they got players like Durant and Westbrook and ibaka who you can hardly so the first negative thing about. Harden on other hand is a pussy and i can't stand him the more i watch him.

Most Hornets fans on this board hate OKC because they tried to steal the Hornets during Katrina.

Personally, I don't remember it being as bad as some here do and it's hard to hate OKC right now. They are new to the spotlight, seem like a really enthusiastic fan base and have likable star players.

Better OKC than Miami!

Out of the 3 teams left, yes I want them to win the most. I do think they are a model for what our future will be, so it is fun to watch them and imagine the Hornets in 4-5 years.

As long as Miami doesn't win, I'm cool with either Boston or OKC winning.

I remember it being real bad. With that said, it's simply not possible to root for James or Garnett over Durant, even if OKC getting a title would be the best thing to ever happen to those fricking hillbilies.

Yes, I'm pulling for OKC. I like Durant and Harden, and I like that they are a small market team built the right way and not having a "big 3" of some sorts come together because established stars want to play together and make it easier for them to win (Boston and Miami).

I've been a Hornets fan ever since the 100-75 beat down of the Jazz. That being said I've always rooted for OKC and hold no hard feelings for what they did because honestly we would have tried the same thing.

We would agree to take a team in after biggest natural coaster in our history then try not to give them back?

I don't have any hard feelings for OKC.

I don't love them, but who else in the West would I cheer for?

Flop City?
Ghazidirks?
St Tony?
the bandwagon?
Thuggets?
Jazz stealers?
and I don't like Memphis...

This.

I actually like the team and its management. I loathe the city and many of the fans. I understand the "great atmosphere" at the games, but they're a bunch cattle rustlin' rubes.

Then root for Brandon Bass to get a ring.

Yep, respecting a franchise and wanting them to win are entirely different things. I have loathed the Spurs for years, but actually found myself pulling for them to beat OKC.

I hated OKC/YHT but somehow it all went away over the past few years. I was rooting for them all the way once the Knicks got eliminated. I just like their team and coach a lot.

Plus you can't help but be thrilled for HR's old friend Doug "Dawgz" Loadonback

I was pulling for the Spurs. Yes, blasphemy on here, but I just loved watching them play basketball.

Same as watching those mid 2000s Suns or Webber Kings. Just a fun brand of team ball.

They are definitely the franchise I have the most respect for in they way they've built and sustained. I think they are my definition of "the right way."

No I'm not saying that it's just no one knew if New Orleans would recover. OKC supported the team and showed if the Hornets couldn't return here that they could inherit them

Nonsense. Do you really think there was ever an actual threat of abandoning one of the most important port cities in the nation?

it's pretty easy to get behind a professional franchise when there's literally nothing else going on in the city.
