Looking for my first shun knife and found this premier chef's knife. Is this a good deal or should I find a classic shun? Does the hammered finish add to drag while chopping?

I've heard only good things about the premier.

Or maybe you could just consider this one and spend the extra hundred on something else.

It looks like it has only a stick tang instead of a full one. Not sure if that's customary in these knives but I've always thought the full tang was one of the signs of a high-quality knife.

I'm a fan on the Japanese style so I'm going to pass on that.

Does anybody have any experience with Mac or tojiro knives?
