If Miles wins 13 games this year, his average wins per year will be 11.

He is currently 75-18 in seven years as the LSU HC. As much as people said "He is winning with Saban's talent", "Lucky Les", "He has underachieved.", there is no way you can't say that he is a good coach. People like Ron Zook had the talent but couldn't win. I am almost 100% positive that LSU will win 13 games this season.

He will have to win the next 100 in a row to make me forgive him for his epic debacle on 1-9-12.

I mean, the rational fan can acknowledge that he gets the job done and is the right man for the job. This is 100% his program, but every coach in history is always questioned when things go wrong.

I'm glad we have him and i'm confident we'll continue to be a rock solid, scary-good football team for years to come

But this is the rant, so he'll always get more than his share of hate

What is this "rational fan" you keep referring to and where can I find their leader?

people are funny. i have been a huge LSU fan since the 50's and a '72 graduate. ergo, i have seen many coaches at LSU and other schools as well. Miles is, WITHOUT QUESTION, one of the finest overall college football coaches i have seen in the whole country. he has his weaknesses; he certainly has his quirks (what makes him interesting) and he makes mistakes. welcome to the human race. i never witnessed a perfect coach. hell, i saw bear bryant have at least two 6-5 seasons and other seasons where his teams were average. name the coach and that will be true. but, when miles makes a mistake, when miles has an average team ('09), his critics come out of the woodwork with a vengence. the attacks are personal (he's dumb, he only can win with saban's players, anybody can win at LSU, etc, etc). i just don't understand it. i understand "normal" critisism but some of the stuff i see is just plain ridiculous. and the man does recognize his mistakes and corrects them down the road. he's a GREAT COACH. and La does not produce, year in and year out, the best talent in the nation. in the SEC alone, the states of florida, georgia and texas produce more. i think most of us LSU fans recognize this but the minority that don't see have them some loud mouths. and they are vicious. imo, they don't deserve miles. just sayin'.

I thought for his first 4 years, he only got credit for the losses and Saban got all credit for the wins

All seriousness he is the best coach in LSU history. in his 7 years he has had only 2 season without at least 11 wins. That is incredible. In his 5 years, Saban only had 10+ wins twice here.

He could win 3 NCs in a row and some mouth breathing truck driving inbred would bitch that he misuses the word want and demand his ouster.

Doesn't matter if you win 13 games if you lose the national championship in the manner that Miles did.

I have as much confidence in Les as a coach as a I do in Garrett Hartley as a kicker.
