First off I am very excited that the we got he #1 pick. It brings a great deal of notoriety to the team and it will help to invigorate the fan base. Tickets, sponsorships and spirit should be at an all time high especially after the rebranding.

With that being said our biggest hole in our team last year was low post scoring and scoring at the SF. I would much rather have Robinson and Barnes then Davis. Since Davis is the obvious can't miss media driven first round pick there is no way we can't pick him. Yes I know most scouts think this as well. I still don't think the Hornets at this point need another defensive minded big especially if we keep Okafor. Robinson would be a tremendous offensive player from Day 1 which is what the team needs. The #2 pick would have made us a lot better right away but I do get that Davis has all the upside.

I am just stating my opinion which is that of a fan that wants nothing more then to have a successful basketball team in my backyard.

I'm growing a unibrow as we speak BTW.

I see what you're saying about Davis, but Barnes and Robinson aren't worth it. If it was a deeper draft year, perhaps. I really am not impressed by this years draft class.

I think you are trolling but if you're not.. you don't ever pass on a sure fire franchise center in the draft. He's the type of player you build around and win lots of championships with, like Tim Duncan. Robinson and Barnes are no gurantees and could both end up being very average players.

We are trying to build a team that is a lot like the spurs and Davis is perfect for that. IMO Davis will be a better offesnive player than TRob and Barnes anyway.

No way he is going to be the next Tim Duncan. He is way to thin and he will almost certainly get tossed around in the league his first couple of years. He will be good on defense but there is no way he is going to post of anybody and go to work.

There is no way of predicting a sure fire anything in the draft with the exception of Lebron James. Past Drafts

Look at the last couple of years drafts. There was a lot of guys that everyone was drooling over that suck.

I hope it works out for us but picking a franchise player is like winning the lottery.

He is only 19 years old and was the most dominant player in college this year.

I'm sure the Bobcats would happily exchange picks with us in exchange for a few handies.

Still, Davis right off the bat >>> TRob, and that's 100% excluding the ceiling he has.
