I still hate both of them.
I also like how he brings up Tampa and St. Louis, how many picks did Tom throw against Buffalo last year on the road to help lose the game?

I'm glad someone in the national media stood up and said what Brees truly deserves. And as Stephen A noted he's a great guy on and off the field! All this nonsense talk from Bayless and especially Cowturd make me realize how sweet it will be hoisting that 2nd Lombardi in our DOME!

As a Patriots fan....I do agree that Brees should be the highest paid QB in the league; Saints would not be where they are without him....
Saints should pay him his $23 mill...but for maybe 4 years max...

Let PAY our gunslinger. I am speechless as ESPN found a positive for Brees and Smith was passonate in his arguement Bayless's rebutal was feeble at best.

I don't hate them, but they're quite obviously ratings gigolos. Stephen A. however gives great reasons to give Drew THE MONEY HE WANTS ($21 mil, right), or THE MONEY HE DESERVES (highest-paid QB salary).

I actually like A. Smith...anytime I watch ESPN which is rarely now, I like watching him make Bayless look stupid on almost every topic. Bayless is a product of the national media's love with big market teams. Tom Brady, Lebron James, Aaron Rodgers are all over hyped to everyone because every 5 seconds their faces are on tv. Brees and the Saints get very little tv time which is fine with me. I love how his one argument is that Brees shouldnt be the highest paid because out of the 18 games he played last season he lost three and just so happened to throw int in each game. Everyone including the bum who lives behind my building knows turnovers lose ball games. Each of those games came down to the last drive and to say it was Brees' fault is ridiculous. What about the fact that the last two times Brady has been to the SB, he has lost to the same Wild Card team.

Like others have said before, the key to Bayless is to stop taking him serious. He is there for shock value and counter argument, so that ESPN gets ratings. I highly doubt he believes half of what he says, or maybe he does, but point is that he does it for the numbers.
Once you stop taking him serious, he's actually quite entertaining.
