..... Conner said.... He's been watching LSU as he was growing up. He's always had that dream to go there and play ball. via rivals.

South Panola kids get that bag of cash that suddenly turns up on their door step or sometimes a new car from a local dealership in their uncles name. This has been going on for year but nobody cares because Ole Miss has been garbage. Sad because the kids are so talented and waste all of it in a no win situation.

If we really thought we had a good shot we would be on him hard. It will be Bama/Ole Miss. And we know this.

I was just seeing on 24/7 that he talked about staying in state and continuing the pipeline from SP to OM.

I would definitely like to land him, but at this time, it is what it is.

Also, apparently, we have a shot with Tahaan Goodman( Video) from CA, so that's something to look at. Would Goodman want to go to USC if Cravens committed? Would USC back off a little with their scholly limitations? I don't know.

It'll be interesting to see how it unfolds at the Safety position. I like Cutrer, so anything else is lagniappe.

Yes indeed, I'm with you on that one. I really like both of their skills and potential.
At this stage, LSU has established itself as one of the premier places for DB's to flourish. In recent memory, we've dominated awards and recognition for production.
I'm pretty confident that this is a position group that we will continue to have great success in.

Is USC leading?

I wouldn't say anyone is leading. No one is really sure if Goodman even has an offer from USC and may get left out, especially if Cravens commits to them on the 6th

I think we do have a good enough chance. Especially if a situation like Rettig happens, where the #1 at the position commits to them, and they back off.

We don't really have any scholarship issues to deal with, USC does. Cravens, Redfield, Goodman-I can think of right now, but there is a few more that are in play for them. I don't know if they all have offers though.
I think USC is trying to recruit DB's as a top priority, but I think they can only sign like 15, IIRC. So I doubt there is too much loading up on one position group.
Hopefully, one of those USC folks chimes in on the issue.

But again, I think we have a shot.

I'm with you. I'm sure our staff vetted his thoughts and didn't get the type of interest that would qualify major effort. Bama/OM battle and OM wins as they usually do. Hope so. Someone has to help keep some of the studs away from Bama.

If SC gets Redfield and Cravens as expected then Goodman probably is ours

Isn't Goodman the one with family ties in LA?
