Any News on Ishmael Wilson?

He committed to A&M around 2 months ago because we didn't offer. Well, we offered around a week ago and I was wondering if he might flip?

He doesn't really have an offer per Ponamsky & he stressed it. Not sure why there are discrepancies between the sites.

Even if we did offer id be shocked if we did flip him.He keeps saying he gave A&M his word and he isnt gonna back out of it. I hope im wrong.

Davenport is backing up Faulk at LT, so at least for now, he's an OT. I think Wilson can play either OT or OG and he's better than KSM. If KSM were really that good, he'd have an offer from LSU. I don't think he's better than Edinburgh or Austin were at the same stage and those 2 had to wait. KSM is a camp guy and may still not get an offer.
I'm not buying that Wilson doesn't have an offer. Multiple different site and people talked to the kid and his coach and both say he got offered. No reason for those guys to make shite up when he seems perfectly happy to be committed to TAM. Sounds to me like a case of sour grapes by some guys on our side because he didn't flip immediately like they thought he would. Bad business if that's the case. Why would Wilson and his coach cause so much trepidation from the TAM people over a bogus offer? I don't see it.

I understand where you are coming from, because this is what was running through my head as well. I'm not sure why DP insists that he doesn't have the offer.
None of it really matters though, because I do believe he is firm to TAMU. We were just too late. What I don't understand though is the staff has been offering OLs left & right without them coming to camp. They may be those non-committable offers though.

As the recruiting cycle becomes earlier and earlier, we forget sometimes it is still freaking May.
Dudes like Ishmael Wilson might be reaffirming their pledge right now, but if LSU is kicking arse like we are expected and A&M struggles, I would bet he re-thinks his position following the season if we want him.

another questionable move by staff. it seems like it would be pretty easy to talk to his coach and wilson and find out he had no interest in LSU thus no need to offer. makes it seem like we offered out of the blue without doing our homework on whether he actually still had any interest in us.
