The SEC will likely get 7 maybe, 8 teams.
In previous years with the SEC tournament hosting 8 teams, it usually meant that if you made it to Hoover, you were in the regionals.
Now with the 2 added entrants, that isn't the case as there are 4 teams that could benefit or hurt their regional chances pending their performance in Hoover.

Thank you Broski. With the NCAA trying to spread things out to include teams from smaller conferences and to achieve some sort of mythical geographical "balance". I was just asking.

No chance. Vandy is 28-25 despite the RPI. They have to make it to the finals just to have a chnace. Should Ole Miss finish with a losing record, I bet they don't make it either since their record in conference and against RPI Top 100 is awful.

I believe both Ole Miss and Vandy will be playing postseason ball (NCAA tournament postseason ball).

Had they gone 2 and out, they wouldn't have been eligible due to a losing record, but after losing their opener they made it all the way to the finals.
Vandy needs to do that.
As for Ole Miss, well their resume is eerily similar to that of LSU's last year.

It is similar but they aren't getting left out. You can take that to the bank. They (Ole Miss) was ranked coming into this weekend. Yeah yeah, ranking don't mean shite. But they are making the postseason SEC tourney (lucky for them).
And Vandy the past 3 weekends won 2/3 from UK, LSU and swept OM. They are making the postseason.

Vandy just finished 16-14 in the SEC. They are making the postseason. And any team that faces them I promise you will not be happy they have to play that hot arse team.
