Is it possible, looking at the improvement Jason's made since last season, for him to improve his game more, gain the extra 10lbs., become a center, and beat out Mark Gasol or Andrew Bynum to become an All-Star center in the west?

Could he be the third member of our Big Three?

he def improved last year from his first 3 because he was given more minutes and overall more chances to perform. I'd like to see more consistency from him. He went off in a few games last year, but there were also games where he was just aweful. He still has to become a starter before we talk allstars, bro. His offensive game is stronger than his d, but like you said, he needs to gain some muscle weight. However, the dude is 26 now, so if he's gonna make a move, he better get rolling.

This must belong on the Hawks board because I know you aren't talking about Jason Smith. Jason Smith All Star means he used some powerful voodoo and a zombie apocalypse can't be far behind.

Really the only thing that changed for Smith this year was his shooting. He was about 8% higher than his career average. Looking at per 36 or Advanced stats, every other number was right around his previous output.

Shooting Stats for his career-

FG% TS% eFG%

45 49 46
43 49 46
44 49 44
52 54 52

No idea if he took different shots than before or he just worked on his stroke. Hopefully he keeps it up. Like you said, he's got a long way to go before becoming an All-Star

more PT leads to getting in more of a rhythm and a higher shooting %

It's an interesting question. I think it's more of a chicken or egg type problem. Did more minutes help the player settle and thus improve his shot or did the player learn how to shoot/get shots he can make and therefore earn more playing time?

For example, after his rookie year, Ryan Anderson put up basically the same numbers he had this year with 14mpg and 22mpg the two previous seasons.
