Need tips, suggestions from singers

To anyone here who sings (especially those not named Robert Plant or Paul Rodgers):

What do you do—if anything—to get the most from your voice? Especially if you have a weak voice, limited range and all that.

Don't smoke and drink water with twist of lemon. Find songs that fit your range or take singing lessons. Sing like no one's listening!

That's a good idea. Actually, I could talk to the choir director at my church about this—not mentioning of course, that many of my songs could never, ever be played in a church setting.
